Dark clouds, rain and wind. Typical for monsoon season in Arizona and expected by us natives. As a photographer, it is something we pray does not effect a wedding or photo shoot. Pulling up to Tremaine Ranch, myself along with twenty other photographers from around the country braced for what could be a wet and challenging shoot to kick off the United conference. We were determined to not let anything stand in our way though. Prepared for the rain with several umbrellas nearby, we quickly began in hopes that the rain gods would hear our prayers and keep the rain away for just a couple hours.

Karie and Field, two incredibly talented film photographers, known to most as Ace & Whim, led us through the beauty of fine art and the key to capturing true emotion from our couples. Every detail of this shoot was perfect! The table was beautifully styled and dressed with the most incredible floral by the amazing Sarah’s Garden. When the couple Katie and Michael walked towards us, it was easy to see the love in their eyes. Katie was dressed in a stunning wedding gown by local favorite Bella Lily Bridal and Michael was quite dapper in a blue suit. Karie and Field led us through the shoot teaching us various techniques and sharing pearls of wisdom.

I am so excited to share some of these images, not only because of the beauty of the styling, but also because I just started shooting film and am already in love with the look!!!! Hope you enjoy!
